Freestanding Baths

Often considered the luxury item to aspire to, the freestanding bath requires space but really oozes style! Available in traditional roll top or more contemporary designs in our online bathroom store, there are freestanding baths to suit most dreams or budgets for your bathroom’s bath.

They can be more complicated to install especially the models without legs as the waste usually runs down into the floor (although some models have waste holes at the back). A way to get around this is by creating a step/raised floor section which would give a void to carry the waste. You also need to consider the exposed pipes and waste as they might be on show so metal chrome plated versions are available (and other finishes are possible). If there is a tap ledge on the bath then the taps can be fitted directly onto the rim of the bath. If there is no ledge then you can pick for floor or wall mounted fillers with or without a handset for cleaning the bath or washing hair. Do pay attention to see if the bath has an overflow hole or not as no overflow could lead to the possibility of the bath filling and flooding the room if left unattended. Although there are some clever waste options available if you don’t have an overflow where the plug at the bottom opens up when a certain water pressure level is reached to avoid this issue.

Different materials range from the lower cost Acrylic (plastic) to more harder wearing Stone Resin, Cast Iron, Copper, Natural Stone, Steel. There are a lot of options for different finishes available including bespoke painted, and even cladding the exterior in wood, leather, and the fabric of your choice.
