Heated Towel Rails & Bathroom Radiators
Combining two jobs in one, heated towel rails and bathroom radiators have made a big impact on the bathroom market over the last few years. They’ve become almost a bathroom necessity, bringing style and functionality while saving you money by being able to heat your room and dry your towels at the same time without having to by a standard radiator and rail separately. A large number of models can work off just your central heating, dual fuel (both your central heating and an electric element) or electric only (an electric element used solely to heat where and the radiator is usually filled with a fluid)
Painted versions will give out the greatest heat output followed by stainless steel then the chrome models will give the least heat output. Stainless steel is the most robust material due to its rust resistant properties with some suppliers giving 25 years – lifetime warranties on them. There are different options on the valves with Straight Valves (when pipes come out of the floor) , Angled Valves (when pipes come out of the wall) and also Corner Valves (when pipes come out the wall but the control knob is sideways which protrudes into the room less). Dual Fuel heated towel rails are a bit more complex as you normally use a T-piece to allow the valve and the element to fit onto the bottom of the rail so you sometimes need a mixture of different valves.
With both the central heating valves and the elective elements you can have the option of standard on/off valves and also thermostatic ones where you have more control of the temperature (and on electric elements – delay timers, remotes and wifi connectivity
