Closed Coupled Toilets

Close coupled toilets have the ceramic cistern directly attached to the pan, creating one streamlined unit which combines both essential parts.
The choice of open back or closed back pans gives you the option of the pipes being hidden within the casings. if the waste pipe runs out sideways from the toilet you will need open back.

A vast majority of toilet seats nowadays are soft closing, meaning that they are safer to use in a family environment as children won’t get their fingers caught underneath the seat. Most seats are also quick release for ease of cleaning and quick access for maintenance including tightening. Most contemporary shaped pans take a plastic seat where as the traditional shapes usually take the wooden seats. You normally have to get the exact seat from the same range as the pan but the oval and D shaped seats are more universal.
