BC Designs new product!
The Industrial Boat Bath
Industrial interior design, which has its roots in 1950s New York, makes the most out of playful textures including the use of cement, concrete and aged wood, along with vintage and metallic pieces. The new boat bath, which is available in matt metallic silver or hand painted in a colour of your choice, is the perfect accessory to creating this look at home.
Ever conscious of comfort, the new bath has curved sides for maximum comfort and at 1730mm, it is plenty big enough for long, relaxing soaks.
Made from BC Designs Acrymite system, the Industrial Boat bath has no gel-coat on the inside, so scratches can easily be removed, making it perfect for busy family bathrooms.

After the stresses of last year, creating spa-like serenity at home has never been more important. Statement baths are key with the focus on clean lines, sculptural shapes and aesthetically-pleasing design.
When choosing a freestanding bath, you really need to consider both the size of your bathroom and the look you’re aiming to achieve. Back-to-wall baths can still give that luxe look, but in a compact space.Having issues with the amount of flow / pressure coming from your shower head . . . watch this!

A lovely clutter free design has been produced here by our designer Rob to make the best use of space. Space saving products and concealed plumbing has been cleverly utilised across the bathroom.
The use of a wall mounted unit and toilet helps to make the space feel bigger as well as helping to make cleaning easier around these areas. The concealed cistern unit creates a nice deep shelf above the basin which has been finished with a bespoke granite and marble worktop. This section has been beautifully finished with some lighting below the basin unit.
Nuance wall panels have been used in the shower which creates a smooth finish with hidden seams and no end trims required. Where the wall has been built out to accommodate the shower valve and controls, they have taken advantage of the cavity to add a small alcove/shelf for the shower essentials.
In the images you will be able to see some our 3D designs created by Rob when he was designing the bathroom for the customer.Congratulations to Andy who won salesperson of the month for June! A big well done from the whole team.

A simple under-stairs bathroom. Space saving designs such as the concealed cistern, low profile vanity unit and offset basin have been used to give the most function but taking up very little room. The box created for the concealed cistern also provides a handy shelf.
The wall-mounted toilet pan allows for easy cleaning, and the lack of a floor mount allows it to give the illusion of more space. This compact room is finished off with wall mounted toilet roll holder and towel holder to ensure the essentials are close to hand. A nice aesthetic feature is the basin mixer tap which features an open spout, which when used has a waterfall effect.#newproduct

Marshfield
This customer had a relatively large room to utilize and our designer Lee did a fantastic job making the most of the space available. It’s also worth noting that all of the communications with the customer were done remotely, the entire design and ordering process was done via video calls, phone calls and email!
The flooring in this room has allowed concealment of many parts of the plumbing which means that a flat shower tray, flush to the floor was able to be used. It has also meant that the bath can be completely free standing with the mixer tap being adjacent and no unsightly plumbing visible at all.
A similar approach has been taken with the toilet unit, which is wall hung to give a very modern and clean look, with the cistern concealed in the wall. This has created a small alcove on the side of the room containing the bath and gives a lovely cosy effect and space for the customer’s plant to be located. The basin taps are also wall mounted with the plumbing concealed, above a lovely freestanding basin to match the bath.
Two towel warmers have been used in the room. This means that you’re never too far from a fresh warm towel, whether you’re in the shower or in the bath, and also it means that there is more than adequate heating available for the room. Within the shower the controls have been mounted towards the entrance of the shower which means that the temperature can be adjusted until it’s just right, before getting under the shower itself.
We have included pictures of the 3D designs that Lee created for the customer so that you can see how the design progressed from plans to reality.

Eastbourne Avenue
Our designer Rob has utilized an interesting mix of items in this design to achieve the final design. The units are a mix of R2, Tavistock and Roper Rhodes. These are all produced by the same company but are separate ranges, luckily they produce identical colours! This means that a decent mix of units was possible to achieve the storage needs required by the customer.
The cistern unit is a bespoke piece built so that it could be tiled over.
The inside wall of the shower is a stud wall, built 100mm out from the original wall which allows the workings of the shower valve to be hidden and an alcove to be fitted for extra storage.

Bath Road, Saltford
The striking main feature of this project is the freestanding bath which stands pride of place in front of the large sash window and in main view when you walk into the room. Its white colour stands out proud in contrast to the dark painted walls and the industrial style grey tiles. This room can take the striking darker shades due to large amount of daylight let in by the tall window.
One tall column radiator has been used to the left of the window to supply heating to the large room whereas a smaller ladder style heated towel rail to the right of the window is used for drying the towels.
The large 1200mm wide basin gives the feeling of opulence and the large areas either side of the bowl allow for practical surfaces to rest toiletries. The basin is resting on a chrome stand which can offer support of the basin weight and also provide a hanging space for a hand towel. It also helps to create the feeling of more room space as the frame is minimal and reflective allowing for more of the wall and floor to be seen.
Distinct colour changing LED mood lighting has been used in the shower recess boxes and around the toilet boxing to give this room the wow factor.

Northampton St, Bath
The pipework behind the toilet and basin has been cleverly hidden in some tiled half height boxing. This also creates a handy shelf running the full length of the room. Another advantage with this boxing is that the mirror cabinet no longer protrudes over the basin so there is no risk of hitting your head.
The floorstanding vanity unit under the basin and the mirror cabinet give maximum storage for all your toiletries, spare loo roll and bleach.
The shower enclosure has a infold door which is a smart solution where the door opens half in and half out reducing the chance of the glass colliding with the wooden door into the room. The shower head has been mounted flush into the ceiling to allow for more head room.
A bright colour scheme has been carried through this room with the white freestanding bath with white bath feet, the matt white vanity furntiure and mirror cabinet, the white toilet seat and the white brick style tiles. The walls have been painted in a subtle pastel shade to give a clean and fresh looking traditional bathroom.

Luckington Rd, Badminton
This L-shaped room was awkward and needed a bit of thought to select the appropriate products. The sophisticated fitted furniture combined both a standard depth vanity unit to provide large basin and storage with a slim depth toilet unit to make sure the it didn’t take up too much floor space. The waterproof solid resin worktop has been cut back to follow the shape of the furniture below and was finished on site. The fitted furniture also helps to hide any ghastly pipework and the matt shaker style furniture doors add a classy vibe to the room.
The minimalist pentagonal shaped shower enclosure was perfect for this set up as the diagonal corner allows easy access through to the toilet/basin and the heated towel rail opposite. This shape is also practical as there is no sharp corner to walk into or stub your toe on when you are half asleep. After a long day, there is perhaps no better feeling than stepping into a warm, steamy bath that surrounds your body in waves of comfort and serenity. The real problem is knowing what kind of bath taps to choose, and how each of these can be utilised and incorporated with your bathroom designs.

Embrace natural pigments to turn up the heat in your bathroom scheme.
Alongside the mood for comfort comes the move towards warmer tones, including terracotta, rust, caramel and biscuit. Look out for tiles in earthy colours and tactile finishes that make the perfect antidote to cold and clinical. Try contrasting them with black taps or a black basin to add definition. Untreated timber also works well, this time by echoing the natural, warm mood.Another very happy customer and another beautiful bathroom . . .featuring Roper Rhodes basin and toilet and Burlington Bathrooms shower

The long 1800mm fitted furniture run offers loads of storage space to help keep the room clutter free. The solid resin worktop is not only waterproof and hard wearing but also offers a useful surface for resting toiletries especially if you have guests round. The white worktop, traditional style basin and toilet nicely contrast the dark grey shaker style door fronts and the patterned floor tiles that incorporate both the colours all bring the stylish boutique theme together.
The unfortunate location of not one but two windows above the furniture means that a mirror above the basin is not possible but to get around this a small, illuminated, wall mounted, extendable shaving mirror has been fitted and a larger mirror on the adjacent wall helps to get around the issue. Two traditional wall lights has also been fitted above the furniture to not only look elegant but help with task lighting.
