Bath Riverside Penthouse

This stunning and compact bathroom posed several challenges for our designer Rob. The customer has opted to retain the original floor and wall tiles, radiator and the toilet. 

The first thing that stands out in the finished bathroom is the orange wall hung basin unit from Laufen. This had to be specially ordered in from Switzerland! This provides a dual function of creating more storage space and also hiding all the plumbing for the basin. This is fitted within the existing alcove which had the existing tiles removed and was painted in a bright blue which both contrasts nicely with the orange of the unit, and gives a brighter surface for the lights to reflect from. 

The bath was removed and in it’s place a shower tray has been added with a Merlyn glass screen. To ensure a precise fit and hide the plumbing for the shower valve, a stud wall was added and then covered in Nuance wall panels to provide a seamless finish. This has also allowed for a recessed storage shelf to be fitted.
