Downs View, Bradford on Avon
Time travel springs to mind when you see the before and after pictures of this bathroom, what a change!
Whilst very much in-style once upon a time, the maroon sanitaryware and pinkish tiles really needed to be changed to make way for a modern room. You can see from the pictures of the finished room that this and more have been achieved. The bath has been removed entirely which is a very common choice now. It has been replaced with a very long shower enclosure which allows it to be a walk-in enclosure with no door, and the shower heads at the other end. The tray is flush to the floor with the waste directed under the floorboards and the floor has been finished in Palio Ridge floor panels to give a classy wood effect.
The toilet and semi-countertop basin are mounted on Roper Rhodes furniture in derwent blue which adds a nice contrast to the otherwise neutral tones of the rest of the room. The walls around the shower and the splashback over the basin are covered in large 60×60 tiles from Walls and Floors, with the rest of the walls painted in a calming pale tone.
Finishing off the room is a mirror cabinet which incorporates a demister to keep the mirror clear, and LED lighting which complements the recessed ceiling lights.
