Projects Featuring Britton Bathrooms
The show stopping centerpiece in this design really is the wall mounted vanity unit with beautiful vessel washbowl and illuminated mirror. The worktop on the vanity furniture is a slim waterproof mineral resin material which is practical and modern. To keep the sleek look the illuminated mirror not only has a demister pad but also has a integrated charger socket so the nearby walls don’t require an ugly charger socket.
The wall hung toilet has a matching piece of furniture to house the cistern and frame in the same finish as the vanity unit so it is all coordinated.
The bath has been slightly brought off the back wall, boxed in and tiled. This has allowed room for a large recess box and to give the high end look has been illuminated along with the bath front panel.
The shower door is a clever infold door that looks minimal like a normal pivot door but it opens half in and half out to avoid colliding with anything directly in front of the door. Another stunning installation by Aquabathrooms.
The Glen, Saltford
Installed to a high finish by Aquabathrooms, this relaxing bathroom is spacious and modern.
The large quadrant corner shower allowed easy access into the room where a square or rectangular one would cause a pinch point at the corner.
The wall mounted basin with vanity unit has easy to organise drawers and a swivel basin mixer where the spout can pivot out the way for face washing etc. The illuminated mirror cabinet not only has task lighting on the front and mood lighting underneath but also has demister pads to stop the glass steaming up when showering. There is also a charger and USB socket inside to keep everything hidden away and tidy.
The bath has been boxed in with alluring lighting and recess box for candles and soaps to help unwind at the end of a long day.
In this wetroom two pieces of glass have been used on the walk in shower with one at the far end to help protect the wooden furniture under the basin from any water damage. The flush ceiling mounted shower drench head gives a minimal look and maximum head height.
Behind the wall hung toilet has been boxed out and tiled to contain the cistern and frame. This full width half height false wall also allows space for the wall mounted bath valve which operates an overflow filler meaning no bath spout is required. This boxing ledge as creates a very useful surface for any toiletries or ornaments.
The wall mounted basin with double drawer vanity unit has a LED ribbon light installed underneath for effective mood lighting that helps highlight the floor space underneath and give the illusion of more room. This lighting also nicely marries up with the illuminated mirror above.
Under Knoll, Peasdown St John
Fitted furniture has been used to great effect here as the cupboard under the basin creates storage and the worktop provides a very useful surface for resting toiletries. The basin and worktop are an integrated all in one piece made out of a waterproof, mineral resin. This means that it is very hygienic and easy to clean with no silicone to worry about. It can be cut and finished on site and so no long lead times. The furniture also helps to hide the unsightly pipework.
The shower bath also has a colour matching bath panel to help tie the whole theme together. The patterned floor tiles give the whole room a classic style with a hint of modern boutique.
Designed by the talented Ruth at Silverwood Design
Claremont Place, Bath
This project was set in a period property with some quirky features. The bathroom is set over two levels and some steps with two distinct zones. The lower area is the practical frequently used area near the entrance with the wall hung basin & vanity unit and also the wall toilet hung toilet taking up half the steps width. The upper zone is the relaxing bathing area with a view out the window and within reach a heated towel rail for a dry towel.
The use of two large bespoke mirrors has given the illusion of a larger room and helps bounce the natural light around. The white/grey marble tiles give a classic and fresh feel of the room and seamlessly make the room merge as one even though it is made up of two levels.
