Modular Furniture
Adding furniture to a bathroom can create all kinds of advantages, from creating a coordinated and stylish look to adding much need storage. In our bathroom showroom, modular furniture products are stand alone pieces which you would normally pick in a matching style/finish. Usually the pieces available include basin units (either wall or floor standing), toilet units, and storage units (either wall or floor standing) such as tallboys or wall columns.
The furniture is usually made of a wood fibreboard with a moisture resistant paint or wrap finish. A few high end versions are made of solid real wood and some can have metal drawer fronts for added longevity.
Drawers normally cost more than doors but have the benefit of top access which is great for keeping things organised and meaning that nothing is lost to the back of the cupboard. If you are considering wall mounted you need to make sure the wall is strong enough (metal basin frames are available for stud walls) and that the waste can run directly out the wall below the basin. Space saving traps are available to fit into the units below the basin so that more storage space is left and the pipe work does not take up as much room. Some ranges have additional lights to fit into the unit to make viewing the contents easier and why not consider a light underneath if it is wall hung as this can give some fantastic mood lighting.
Toilet units usually have a top and front access panel for maintenance as well as a useful shelf on the top.
